Crazy Life!!

My life is both beautiful and crazy at the moment!! Things just never seem to slow down. I love being the mother of two beautiful babies! It is so rewarding, but exhausting at the same time. It seems I can never get caught up or have time to do everything that needs doing in a day. But then I tell myself the most important thing is to love my family and everything else will fall into place. As I said in the previous post we went to "Boo at the Zoo" this past weekend in Columbus with our friends DJ, Jim, Lincoln, and Truman. We had a good time and the weather was really nice for the occasion. Most of the animals were out and very active. Then Sunday we went and got pictures taken at Sears. We went ahead and did them all at once, even though Oliver isn't quite three months yet and Claire is a little more than 18. We figured we could get the biggest "bang" for our bucks this way:-) So, enjoy the pictures...
A little too cold for costumes, but we're ready to go!!!
First we went to the North America section of the zoo. Claire loved the goats!!
She thought she should pet ALL of them!!
The sun bear was eating a pumpkin and there were lots of people there, but Claire wanted to get right up next to the glass!! Watching the bear... Watching the other kids!! Getting on the tiger... Riding the tiger... Flamingos are one of Claire's favorites
Watching the gorillas. They were really active, chasing each other all over the place.
Claire posing in the grainery hut!! How cute! Claire wanted to ride the "horsh" until it was actually time to get on. She didn't really enjoy much of the ride until the very end.
She did enjoy the play area though...
Hi, dad...you can't catch me...

CHECK-UPS

Well, I am a week late with this post, but better late than never! Oliver weighed 14 lbs. 2 oz. at his two month appointment and was 24 and 1/2 inches long. He had to get 4 shots, poor guy! Claire weighed 23 lbs 10 oz and was 32 inches tall for her 18 month appointment. She had to get 3 shots, poor girl! It has been pretty crazy around here since I went back to work, but we are beginning to adjust to our new routine. We are going to "Boo at the Zoo" tomorrow with DJ, Jim and their kids. That should be fun and I will try to post pics of that soon!

Only a few more days...

I only have a few more days at home with my little ones as I return to work this Thursday (boo hoo)! So, I am going to enjoy them. I will miss being at home, but I do love my job! I know it has been awhile since I have posted (although it seems like yesterday), and in that time we have been mighty busy. Erica's (my sister) wedding was this past weekend. It was beautiful, she was beautiful!!! She and Brent are now on their honeymoon in Myrtle Beach, SC. I hope the two of you are having fun and the weather is nice for you!!!

The best mom in the whole world!!!

Erica and me If you couldn't tell from the above pictures, Ryan (being the wonderful husband he is) got me a gift certificate to get my hair cut and highlighted to get ready to go back to work. So, the weekend before my sister's wedding I went and got my hair chopped off. Then Ryan and I went out on a DATE!!! My wonderful friend DJ babysat for us. We went to Los Cabos to eat (yummy) and then we caught a movie. We watched "Eagle Eye." I thought it was pretty good. It was so nice to spend some time together just the two of us!

Claire and Oliver are both growing like weeds. They both have a doctor's appointment on Thursday (Claire's 18 month and Ollie's 2 month checkup). I update you with the most recent stats then, but the other day I weighed Ollie and he was up to 13.2 pounds and he was 24 inches long!!! He is smiling and cooing a lot now. He really likes talking the the animals that hang from his bouncy chair. I think Claire is about 23 pounds and I don't know how tall she is. Claire is working on getting some molars and has been cranky sometimes. We hope they pop through soon. She loves to draw (not always in appropriate places) and dance and sing. She also loves to pretend she is going to work (like daddy) or taking pictures (like mommy)! She is talking more and more everyday. She even talks in complete sentences sometimes. She just amazes me. Here is a video of her being a little mommy to her brother...
Here are some recent pictures of the little munch-kins....
Daddy napping with his babies
Claire woke up from her nap and when I went to get her this day she was pointing into her closet and saying "uh, uh, uh." So, I asked what she wanted and this is it. She wanted to play dress up in the dress I made her for this Halloween. Isn't she cute???
