Claire's One Year Pictures!

Ryan and I decided it was time to get a bigger vehicle. We had been looking for about a month. Over Easter weekend, we bought a van. We didn't think we could fit two kids and two dogs in the Vibe, and it wouldn't pull our camper. So, now we have plenty of room and can take just one vehicle camping when we go. We bought a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country. It is really nice. Hopefully it is a good vehicle for us. Maybe I will take some pics and post them soon.
Anyway, yesterday, I took Claire to get her one year pictures taken. She was pretty cooperative for the first few shots, but then she decided she would rather go exploring than sit still to get her picture taken. I think they turned out well regardless.
I'm one... see!
Say Cheese!!
I'm not gonna stand here long!
Here I go!
Big Girl
Geez people, how many pictures are you gonna take?
Lookin' Cute
This is my personal favorite!!
Mmm, birthday cake sounds good.
So pretty!
You can't make me smile!
.
Ryan said people were going to think we put make-up on her, but I swear we didn't. Her cheeks matched her salmon colored shirt! Maybe because she had just woken up from a nap.
By the way, Claire has finally cut her first tooth and I think she is working on her second. You can't really see the first yet, but it has broken the gumline. So, she will have teeth for her first birthday!!

First Attempt at Videos

Here is my first attempt to upload some video. Claire wants to be just like her Aunt Erica!!

Hope this video didn't gross you out too much! We thought it was pretty funny! Erica used to eat our dog Dusty's dog food when she was a baby. Mom said she would stuff so much in her mouth that she looked like a chipmunk! Sorry Erica!

I baby sat for my friend DJ last night, while they took their older son to see Horton Hears a Who. Claire and Truman had so much fun together!! Thought these pics were too cute of Claire in the bathtub. Enjoy!
Here is what happens when Claire gets to feed herself!! We were having meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and creamed corn for dinner. YUM!!
Things are going well in the Grandstaff household. We are all getting over colds, but we are feeling much better. We are definitely ready for spring! We are tired of being cooped up in the house. On Thursday, when it was halfway decent outside, we decided to take a walk over to the park. Claire really enjoyed it and so did Ryan and I. It was nice to get out and take in some fresh air! We are also in the process of getting ready for Claire's 1st birthday party! I can't believe she is almost a year old already. How time flies!
This coming Friday, Good Friday, is the beginning of spring break for me. I am really looking forward to it. I hope the weather is nice so I can get outside and do some gardening. Have a Happy Easter everyone!!

Long before Claire was born, we bought a child size rocking chair that somewhat matches our adult rocker. Claire is big enough to sit in it as long as she is being supervised, and she loves it!! So, here she is being a BIG girl!
I'm not up to anything! I promise!!
Claire loves to get into the dogs' water dish, which is in the kitchen and that is where she is headed in the above picture.
This is my serious face.....kinda.
Hi, mom!

What's goin' on?

Claire and mommy!

Daddy is wiped out!

Wake up Daddy!!!

This was the best family pic we could get. Ryan kept cutting Claire's head off.

We decided last weekend, to set up a play tent that I got last year at a garage sale. We thought it would be something different and fun for Claire! Well, she loved it!

I'm the princess of Claire Bear Land!!!!

Our family is doing well. Everyone is healthy right now. I am almost 4 months pregnant and have begun to feel this baby moving. I have a doctor appointment next week and my ultrasound is scheduled for the end of March. Not sure yet if we are going to find out what we are having. So, we will keep you posted.

Blah, Blah, Blah

I know, I know!! I need to post some new pics and info, but that requires time and energy!! I have very little of both right now!! I do have some pictures and a funny video to post and I will try to get it up by this weekend, so hang in there. Things are just crazy around here! So, I promise you will have something new to look at soon!!! I am starting to feel better and my energy seems to be increasing a little, so that is a plus. I also have a 1 hour massage schedule tonight at 5, so that should be way relaxing. It was a Christmas gift from my wonderful, wonderful husband!!! Isn't he the greatest? Well, I better get moving. Until next time......

Claire's 9 month pictures!

Here are Claire's 9 month pictures (even though she is 10 months today)! She did such a good job and cooperated so well. I cannot believe how fast she is growing. Only 2 more months until her birthday. This year has definitely flown by and it has been full of such happiness for our family. We are truely blessed!!
Aren't I just too stinkin' cute???? When I smile like this, Daddy will give me whatever I want!!!! Look how big I am!!!! SO BIG!!!

My favorite thing to do...read, read, read!!!

Claire is getting better and faster at crawling and she has no problem pulling herself up on whatever she can find. She can get down by herself pretty easily too. She is starting to make even more new sounds everyday, so I don't think it will be long until we hear her first real words. Still no teeth though, but we count that as a blessing since we don't have to worry about her falling and knocking one out or chipping one or biting her tongue, etc.

I am now into my second trimester (yeah)!! I have a doctor's appointment today. So, it will be nice to hear the heartbeat just to know there our new little one is still doing alright. I am feeling alright, evenings seem to be the worst time, just like last time. I haven't felt nearly as sick though. I haven't decided if that is because I have done this before, I am just too busy to worry about it, or I really am not as sick. I am very tired though. Last night I only made it to 9 PM. Claire went to bed at 8:30.

My official due date is August 16. Since Claire was breech and I had to have a C-section, unless I want to go to Lima or Columbus to deliver, this baby will be by C-section also. So, the doc said we would pick a day about 10 days before my due date to schedule the surgery. That would make it around August 6, but Claire came 12 days early. So, we will see what happens.

I have started another class towards my Master's degree. It is Monday nights from 6-8:40 in Columbus. So, Mondays stink because I only really get to see Claire for about an hour in the morning. But, my class is really interesting and I think it will help me a lot with my teaching. Only ONE more class after this until I am officially licensed to teach as an intervention specialist. Then I have a few more to complete my Master's.

Ryan is doing well. He still loves his job in Urbana. He also can't wait to have another little one in the house. It is so much fun to watch him with Claire! He is a wonderful daddy! In the mornings, when he goes out to warm the car up before he leaves for work, Claire gets upset when he walks out the door! Daddy, don't leave me!!! He takes her to daycare, which she really likes. She has a few girls there she really enjoys playing with.

Anyway, I think I have rambled on long enough. Enjoy the pictures and check back soon!
